Juicing and Cleansing
● What is Juicing?
● What is a Juice Cleanse?
● Instead of drinking 6 bottles a day and cleansing, I would like to drink 1 or 2 Jujus in a day, as a meal replacement or in between meals. Is that possible?
Ofcourse! Some people drink juice instead of morning coffee and some people drink juice as an afternoon snack. A lot of our customers are into "Dinner Cancelling" and replace their dinners with Juice. We also have a monthly subscribtion, but we like to give personalized subscriptions. Please write an e-mail so we could come up with a plan for you.
● What should I do before, during and after my Juice Cleanse?
● Why drink juice when I could just eat my fruits and vegetables?
Short Answer: Because it's easier and more effective.
Long Answer: There are kilograms of difference in the amount of vegetables between a vegetable dish and a juice. It is much easier to drink many kilograms of vegetables than to eat them. Plus we almost never consume vegetables in it's raw state, we cook them. Nothing is more nutritious than juice. Ordinarily, we would digest 70 percent of the vegetable dish when we eat. But once you extract the liquid parts of these vital vegetables you can absorb up to 99 percent of the food value. Let's take carrots. You can extract 300 ml of juice from 500 grams of carrots. It is impossible to eat half a kilogram of carrots in one sitting! When you drink it in juice form, you get larger amouns and more of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes. And your body doesn't require as much energy as digesting solid food.
● I thought fibre was a good thing. Why should I live without fibre?
We definitely need fibre and for that reason we should consume fruits and vegetables in solid form as much as possible, one doesn't have to exclude the other. As a matter of fact, there are two kinds of fibre: soluble and insoluble fibre. Juice does provide some soluble fiber, which has been shown to lower cholesterol levels. While a short break from fiber could be good way to rest your digestive system, drinking your fruits and vegetables on a regular basis should be an addition to, not instead of, the raw and cooked vegetables you eat with your meals.
● Why should I go on a Juice Cleanse?
Going on a Juice Cleanse when you are feeling bloaty and unbalanced could do wonders on your body and mind. It will revitalize your body, give you energy and cleanse your organs. We also recommend a juice cleanse for those who want to quit bad habits. Make sure that you schedule your cleanse on a day you could get plenty of rest. You should consult your doctor before a cleanse. You mustn't go on a cleanse if you are not an adult, if you're pregnant, nursing, have a thyroid disease, diabetic, or recently had a trauma or surgery. People who have food allergies should read the ingredients before consuming them.
● What should I watch out for during a cleanse?
Make sure you don't exhaust your self and get plenty of sleep. You can do a light exercise, but should avoid a heavy work out. Just breathe, read your favorite book and drink your juices every two hours.
● Cleansing is difficult and I am having a hard time. What should I do?
Everyone experiences different symptoms during detoxification. Some experience no symptoms while others think it is too difficult. You may have headaches and fatique from the lack of coffee and tea. You may get cold or irritable. It is important to get ready before a cleanse or not do it at all if you think you're not up for it. If you feel like cheating, you can eat during your cleanse too (a nice salad, boiled veggies or a veggie soup etc..would be ideal).
●Can everyone cleanse?
Cleanse programmes may not suit everyone. You should only do it if you think that it is the right choice for your body. You shouldn't go on a cleanse if you have doubts. If you decide to go on a Cleanse you should let your body adapt to drinking vegetable juices one step at a time. It could be a better idea to start drinking juice between meals couple days prior to your cleanse, to get your body ready for it. Juice Cleanse is based on a solely liguid diet so make sure you consult your doctor before. You should never cleanse if you are pregnant, diabetic or nursing. Only adults should cleanse, Our nutmilks contain nuts (almonds and cashews) If you are allergic to them, please let us know and we will replace it with another drink. Cleansing should not be done in a period of your life when you are physically, emotionally and mentally active. Cleanses must be kept short and controlled. Never aim to do more than your body can handle, as we've told before, it's not about deprivation and starvation.
● Where do you get your produce from? Are they organic?
We get our produce daily from suppliers of our choice in the wholsale fruit and vegetable market. Though we try to go as organic as possible, the organic market in Turkey is not as developed as in Europe and USA and we can not find eveything we want all the time.
● What is Cold Press?
It is a juicing method. The centrifugal juicers we use at home have blades that turn really fast. The heat and energy from the blades and speed kills some of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes of your juice. A Cold Press juicer doesn't have blades in it. It keeps your juice live, raw, unheated, and nutritionally beneficial. This method can be really slow but well worth it as it gently presses the juice without losing many of the nutrients that get cooked in centrifugal juicers.
